Fatherlessness is an epidemic in the African-American community: 2 out of every 3 children are currently growing up in a home without a father. Churches have a unique opportunity and a divine command to help connect fathers and families and heal our nation’s communities.

COGIC is partnering with the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI), an organization dedicated to increasing the number of involved, responsible, and committed fathers, to provide much-needed resources to heal fathers and families.

Double Duty Dads™ Mentoring Program. National Fatherhood Initiative’s Double Duty Dad program encourages experienced dads to provide support for children growing up without their fathers, by either mentoring a child or mentoring other fathers. From dads that are still caring for kids at home to seasoned “grand-pas, fathers of all types can make a difference in the life of a child through Double Duty Dad’s.
