Missionary Charla  Johnson is the Field Representative for South Central Georgia Jurisdiction also known as History Central Georgia Jurisdiction lead by Bishop Norman O. Harper and Mother Edith L. McGrew.  She attends the Kelly Lake Church of God in Christ where her pastor is Bishop Norman Harper.  She is an avid Sunday school attender and has started a flourishing Sunday school outreach at a local McDonald’s for day laborers in Atlanta.

She has been a Sunday school worker and involved in some capacity of Christian Education for over 20 years.  One of her duties has been to work with the Jurisdictional Scholastic Motivation Ministry.  This was given to her under the beloved Bishop Chandler D. Owens.

Missionary Johnson is the Women’s Director for Sunday School University for six years after being asked by Dean Darak Scurles via Bishop Alton Gatlin to develop women’s curriculum for AIM.  She has worked in various places in the Sunday school to include writing plays for the Sunday school for the Holy Convocations under the leadership of Bishop Jerry Macklin as then National Sunday School Superintendent and AIM Chairman.  She has had the distinct honor of being the designated teacher for the Bishop’s Wives Class during the Holy Convocation for the last four years.

She studied Chemistry as her Major and Religion as Minor with emphasis on Old Testament at the William Jewel College in Liberty, MO.  She completed her degree as a Physician’s Assistant at Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA in 1997.  She has a MBA in Healthcare Administration from Saint Leo University (2011).  She will soon acquire a Master of Arts in Theology through Liberty University after 6 more hours.  She intends to go on and obtain the Doctorate in Theology immediately following the completion of the present classes.

She looks forward to serving this great church in the area of education.  It is her hortatory conviction that the Sunday School is the educational training ground for the church. Exegetical and hermeneutical interpretation of God’s intended Word is a vehement passion of hers.  Defending the gospel apologetically is revered.  Her ardent belief is sharing the gospel to those who are lost in order to strengthen them through discipleship of the Word of God.  Adherence to the Presiding Bishop Charles Blake’s call to this great church for Experiencing the Power of Jesus Christ, Pursing His Mission and His Righteousness is the premiere goal for this servant of the Most High God.
