The Church Of God In Christ is pleased to announce a heartfelt initiative that honors the widows of our esteemed pastors. In recognition of their unwavering support and sacrifice, we invite these incredible women to participate in “Legacy Keepers: Honoring Pastors’ Widows.” This program aims to celebrate the remarkable contributions and enduring legacies of pastors’ widows, acknowledging their vital role in the spiritual and communal fabric of our church. Starting Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard, alongside the entire Church Of God In Christ community, will virtually recognize each widow and her late husband, listing their names online in a tribute to their dedication and service. We honor all widows; however, at this time, we dedicate this special honor to widows who have lost their husbands over the last twenty-four months.
We encourage widows to participate by filling out a simple form, which will ensure that their names and those of their beloved husbands appear on this special online honor roll. This initiative not only serves as a token of our gratitude but also as a means to preserve and celebrate the rich heritage and enduring impact of our pastors and their families. Bishop Sheard’s vision is to pay tribute to these extraordinary women, acknowledging their profound influence and the legacies they continue to uphold within our faith community.
