Bishop Jerry L. Maynard Elected To The Church OF God In Christ General Board

Memphis, TN (January 26, 2024) The Church of God In Christ (COGIC) elected Bishop Jerry L. Maynard to the General Board, the denomination’s Board of Directors, during the 2024 Leadership Conference in Atlanta this week. Maynard succeeds Bishop Sedgwick G. Daniels, who passed away during COGIC’s 115th  Holy Convocation this past November. Maynard will complete Bishop Daniel’s term through November 2024.

Bishop Maynard is pastor of the Cathedral of Praise Church of God in Christ in Nashville. He is also the jurisdictional leader of the Tennessee Fourth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. He has held multiple positions in the Church Of God In Christ, including Chief Operations Officer and most recently Vice-Chairman of the General Assembly, the church’s legislative body. General Board members and other church-elected officials terms will end in November 2024 at the 116th Holy Convocation in Memphis, Tennessee.
