Bishop Norman Quick was a very great man and a very great preacher. I had the privilege of hearing him preach at my church's Holy Convocation a few years ago. Rest in Peace, Bishop Quick.
My condolences to the Quick family and CMT church family. My first "church" experience began at Child's Memorial Temple C.O.G.I.C. I have sooo many fond memories of Bishop & First Lady Quick. I am forever grateful for the teachings and love they have shown to me and my family. He was a great man of God that will always be remembered.
I met Bishop Quick while working as Executive Secretary to my relative, Bishop J. Neaul Haynes. A gentleman and saint who loved the people of God, Bishop Quick told me that he wanted to give my talent and creativity exposure. I will never forget the day when Bishop Quick, who was President of the Publishing Board at that time, called me to ask if I would come on board to contribute my expertise as a journalist and writer. I told him that I was honored to be able to do anything for the church that I loved. After some discussion I asked him a question – would he allow me to use the power of the position to bring not only the stories of our great pioneers and leaders to the fore but also, as the Lord lead me, to share what God was doing with individuals performing mighty feats in kingdom service but oftentimes unsung heroes. He said what he had observed in my life caused him to trust the God in me. Almost 20 years later I am yet contributing to the Whole Truth Magazine. May God bless the memory of this giant of the faith!
May God grant the Qucik Family, Childs Memorial Temple Family, & the New York Southeast Jurisdiction Family strength in this hour of bereavement. "Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal; With this in mind, we bow to God's will".

may his peace be with you till we meet again…Bishop norman quick was so much to the church he dedicated his life and all his energy into the gospel..doing good and prayerfully walking with God as close as he knew how….I remember him telling me once he said reverend stay with God and never leave the church, and God will bless you.i will miss him so much and all that served with him will as well, but now that gods has called him in he is resting from his labors,,,we salute you wonderful servant of God you truly went from labor to reward………..
My condolences to the Quick family, Childs Memorial, and the entire Southeast New York Jurisdiction.
I had the pleasure of meeting Bishop Quick over thirty (30) years ago when his son attended Hampton University, in Hampton, VA. His pleasent smile and cheerful spirit has always been consistent over the years. The church has lost a great laborer, and God has gained a another "Saint". My thoughts and prayers are with the church family and immediate family. May your memories be precious; and may the God of all comfort be with you all.
To the Quick family and congregation of the Childs Memorial COGIC, we offer both condolence and prayers for you during this time of homegoing loss. May continue to flourish in the spirit of that Great Leader, Bishop N. N. Quick!
Dear Mother Quick, I just want you to know that you are in my prayers. May God keep his loving arms around you and your sister as you both go through this very difficult time. Bro. Melvin & Sis. Gloria’s daughter & granddaughter- Vonda & Jewelle of Danville, VA

Praying for the Quick family.
What a loss not just to the Church of God in Christ but to the entire body of Christ. Bishop Quick was a true leader who loved the Lord. He lead by example and through his walk created many other leaders. His spiritual and physical presence will be missed throughout the church. Not because he was there but the prayer he shared for every church will be missed. I count the years that he served as our bishop in Providence RI and because of his insight and Gods grace as what has made me the man and leader that I am today.
My heart is heavy with the lost of this great man and visionary of the COGIC. My Pastor, Bishop Norman Nelson Quick was truely a man of God and a great preacher of the word. He was an innovator who was ahead of his time. He was an educator and encouraged so many young peolple and adults alike to grow. learn and be used by God. He will be missed. …Love you pastor!
