The Annual 40 Young COGIC Leaders Under 40 Achievers Overview

1) What is the program and its purpose?

The annual 40 Young COGIC Leaders Under 40 Achievers Award is a prestigious recognition program for young adults between the ages of 25-40 who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their local communities, their church, through academia and their careers. The purpose of the program is to highlight and recognize members of the Church of God in Christ who are in good standing for their outstanding contributions while maintaining their witness and modeling the scripture, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” –Col. 3:17

2) Who can participate, who gets nominated and how?

Anyone who is a member of the Church of God in Christ can nominate another member of the Church of God in Christ who is between the ages of 25-40. If you are nominating someone to be recognized, you must fill out the nomination form with their information, write a brief synopsis of their achievements in the areas specified and why you think consideration should be given to them that they be recognized as a COGIC Achiever.

3) What are the criteria for receiving the COGIC Achievers Award and how are the nominees chosen?

In order to be considered you must be between the ages of 25-40, a member of the Church of God in Christ in good standing, faithfully serving a local church, and demonstrating outstanding leadership in fields such as: entertainment, politics, business, law, academia, technology, and ministry. Not every nominee will master all the criteria, a rubric is used to measure each nominee in the aforementioned areas and point values are awarded to each area based on the nomination form received. A group of judges will score each applicant and the top 20 average scores will be chosen as the COGIC Achievers.

4) What will the honoree receive?

Honoree will receive the prestigious COGIC Achievers Award, an invitation to a VIP Reception, and a Spotlight feature across all AIM media platforms.

5) Who will be sponsoring this program?

This program is sponsored by the Ministries & Special Initiatives Commission of the International AIM Convention of the Church of God in Christ.

6) Can a nominee be selected more than once?

All COGIC Young Adult in the age designation are able to receive this award and can be nominated by any fellow member of the Church of God in Christ. No individual will have the ability to win more than once.
