Fatherlessness is an epidemic in the African-American community: 2 out of every 3 children are currently growing up in a home without a father. Churches have a unique opportunity and a divine command to help connect fathers and families and heal our nation’s communities.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tCOGIC is partnering with the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI), an organization dedicated to increasing the number of involved, responsible, and committed fathers, to provide much-needed resources to heal fathers and families.\n<\/p>\n

Men’s Ministry Remodeled is a biblically-driven innovative and user friendly resource for those who desire to birth, bring life to, or more firmly establish a sustainable men’s ministry that prioritizes ministry to fathers and has the goal of spiritual transformation. This one-year plan has been ground tested and designed to help men’s ministries in need of a fresh start or where existing efforts need to be more firmly grounded in biblical conviction and process.<\/span> \n\tDadventures<\/strong>™. Filled with fun activities that kids and dads can do together, this interactive curriculum teaches children important character traits and connects kids directly with their dads. \n\tInsideOut Dad<\/strong>™ Christian. This Biblically-based reentry program reconnects inmates with their children and introduces them to the transforming power of the Gospel. \n\tNew Dad’s Pocket Guide<\/strong>™. With key health and safety information, this Guide increases health literacy and equips men with a handy guide they can reference at any time. \n\tDouble Duty Dads<\/strong>™ Mentoring Program. National Fatherhood Initiative’s Double Duty Dad program encourages experienced dads to provide support for children growing up without their fathers, by either mentoring a child or mentoring other fathers. <\/span>From dads that are still caring for kids at home to seasoned “grand-pas, fathers of all types can make a difference in the life of a child through Double Duty Dad’s.<\/span> \n\tComing Soon – 24\/7 Dad™ Power Hour. This six week Bible study helps men explore what it means to be a Christian father. Available in Fall 2010.\n<\/p>\n
