Bishop Darrell L. Hines is a man of vision, purpose and prayer.  His primary mission is to fulfill the call of God on his life, which is to proclaim the uncompromising Word of God. This commitment is not only evident as he delivers God’s word but, is demonstrated in his roll as husband to Pamela, loving father to his two adult sons, Darrell II and Brandon, and proud grandfather of two.

In 1981 Darrell lay dead after being struck by lightening while working for Republic Airlines in Milwaukee, WI. When he was revived 45 minutes later it was concluded by attending physicians that he would live the remainder of his life in a vegetated state, but God had another plan. After overcoming amnesia, in the days that followed, Bishop Hines’ commitment to fulfill his hunger and thirst for righteousness found him answering the call of God. “You take care of My business, and I’ll take care of your business”, is what Bishop Hines attests the Lord spoke to him more than 30 years ago. Since that day he has been about the business of telling a dying world about a living Christ. His evangelistic journey has encompassed travel throughout the U.S., Africa and Germany. Bishop Hines has been committed to winning scores of souls into the Body of Christ. Darrell Hines Ministries – is the global evangelistic ministry that has been instrumental in affecting people of various ethnic, social and economic affiliations.

As an Auxiliary Bishop within the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), by the appointment of the late Bishop Gilbert L. Patterson and the present leadership of Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake Sr., Bishop Hines’ office has allowed him the opportunity to minister to numerous men. His meticulous leadership skills are demonstrated in his position as chairman of the first ever   Men’s Conference in the history COGIC. Tens of thousands of men welcome and embrace the Men Perfecting Men Conference annually, of which Bishop Hines facilitates in diverse cities around the country.

Bishop Hines, along with his wife Pamela, are the founders of the Christian Faith Fellowship Church of God in Christ (CFFC), a mega member congregation and one of the largest African American churches within the state of Wisconsin. Bishop Hines serves as senior pastor. CFFC is home to a multipurpose facility that houses Darrell Lynn Hines College Preparatory Academy, an elementary school, and Destiny Youth Plaza, an 80 thousand square foot strip mall used for outreach to Milwaukee’s youth. It is also the home of Destiny High School, a school given to cultivating the talents of young people interested in pursuing careers in multi-media and the Arts. The campus also houses a credit union for church members and school faculty alike. The plaza/school is comprised of a state-of-the-art skating rink, auditorium, gymnasium, and dance and recording studios. CFFC continues to give back to the community through a myriad of outreach efforts garnered by Bishop Hines and with a commitment to include a four point plan referred to as CORE: Community, Outreach, Resource and Education; the vision of CFFC is to proclaim the Word of God, uplift the family and provide ministry to the total man. Bishop Hines’ communal and spiritual leadership afforded him the privilege of rendering the invocation for an address given by President Barack Obama during a town hall meeting in Wisconsin (2010). Through Bishop Hines’ leadership, various churches throughout the country, particularly in Wisconsin and Illinois, have received ministerial structure and direction to assist them in achieving excellence in ministry.

Bishop Hines is widely recognized for his cutting-edge preaching. His message of salvation and hope is heard through the mediums of radio, television, internet and publication. Known to render a selection before he preaches, Bishop Hines’ notoriety as a singer/psalmist spiraled during his musical debut “Darrell Hines Live”, which was nominated for a 2011 Stellar Award. Though preaching the Gospel catapulted Bishop Hines into Christian mainstream, it is his undying love of music that comforts him. Simply sitting at the piano and giving life to a melody has helped to inspire, replenish and provide him strength in times of need.

As you receive from the anointing that rest on Bishop Darrell L. Hines may you also be increased and empowered to tell a dying world about a living Christ.
