Vice President Supt. Rodney Atkins<\/p>\n

Superintendent Rodney L.\u00a0 Atkins is the son of Missionary Ocie Atkins-Anthony.\u00a0 Superintendent Rodney L. Atkins is a native of East St. Louis, Illinois.\u00a0 His membership during his youth and college years was at Kennerly Temple Church of God in Christ, St. Louis, Missouri under the leadership of Bishop R.J. Ward.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After college, he was youth pastor at Lotta Church of God in Christ, Karnack, Texas under the leadership of Supt. Raphael Payne.\u00a0 He was ordained as a minister in the Texas Northeast Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop J. N. Haynes.\u00a0 Under the leadership of Bishop W. B. Houston he served as an assistant pastor.\u00a0 In the Texas Northeast Second Jurisdiction he has served as Dean of the C.H. Mason Bible College, District Sunday School Superintendent, Chairman of A.I.M. and State Sunday School Superintendent.\u00a0 He presently is a District Superintendent of the W.B. Houston Memorial District.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On the national level he has served as executive secretary of the International Sunday School Department.\u00a0 For numerous years he was administrative assistant to Bishop Jerry W. Macklin, former chairman of A.I.M.\u00a0 He presently is the Men\u2019s Conference Coordinator in the International Sunday School Department.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He is Chairman of Boys 2 Men Conference since 2011.\u00a0 He is also Camp Director of Boys 2 Men Summer Camp held at Jarvis Christian College. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He is the author of numerous books.\u00a0 A recent publication he compiled is \u201cCalled To Excellence\u201d which is a district manual.\u00a0 He is also the author of a book entitled \u201cMen\u2019s Ministry Today\u201d.\u00a0 He is the founder and pastor of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ, Tyler, Texas. Supt.\u00a0Atkins is a member of the Texas Northeast Second Jurisdiction, Bishop David R. Houston, Prelate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He has worked at Wiley College, Marshall, Texas, and the City of Tyler as a Librarian.\u00a0 After retirement he was hired as Library Director at Jarvis Christian College, Hawkins, Texas.\u00a0 He is married to the lovely Yvonne T. Atkins a teacher in the Tyler Independent School District.\u00a0 Their son is a graduate of Xavier University and St. Louis University.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
