In 2012, he was appointed by Presiding Bishop Charles Blake and the General Board as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of the <\/span><b>Church of God In Christ Publishing House and Bookstore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a position he held until 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An accomplished scholar, Dr. Ellis earned his degree in <\/span><b>Business Administration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from the <\/span><b>University of Southern Mississippi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. He furthered his executive training by earning certificates from <\/span><b>Columbia University<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and the <\/span><b>UVA Darden School of Business<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. In 2006, he received a <\/span><b>Doctorate of Divinity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> following his studies at the <\/span><b>Interdenominational Theological Center<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>SB Seminary<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Ellis\u2019s professional career spans over 20 years in sales and marketing, culminating in his role as <\/span><b>Vice President of Sales and Operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at <\/span><b>Pitney Bowes Inc.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a Fortune 500 company. Following his retirement from the corporate sector in June 2015, he was selected by <\/span><b>Rev. Jesse Jackson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and the Board of Directors to serve as the <\/span><b>Chief Operating Officer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of the historic <\/span><b>Rainbow PUSH Coalition<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Chicago in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beyond his executive leadership, Dr. Ellis is the founding pastor of <\/span><b>United Christian Faith Ministries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
