Attorney Amos Smith has been married to Dr. Lisa Winters-Smith, a pediatrician, for 25 years. They are the proud parents of two sons, Amos Jeffrey Smith, a junior at Duke University and Austin Phillip Smith, a junior at Harrison High School, All-State Cellist and Honor Roll student.

He has been a practicing attorney for over 29 years. In his profession, he represents individuals, small businesses, not for profit entities, ministries, churches, pastors, and numerous denominations. In addition to his legal experiences, Attorney Smith has been a consultant with the CPA firms of Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen.

Attorney Smith received his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has received advanced legal and taxation training at the Georgetown Law Center, located in Washington DC.

Attorney Smith has lectured in subjects regarding taxation, estate planning, probate, not-for-profit and ecclesiastical law. He has served as a presenter at workshops, seminars, conventions, and national meetings for numerous organizations.

Attorney Smith is currently serving his 4th term on the National Board of Trustees for the Church of God in Christ and operates as the 2nd Vice Chairman and formerly served as the Budget Chairperson. He also served on the Publishing Board for the Church of God in Christ and Legal Advisor for the General Council of Pastors & Elders.
