Superintendent John E. Perez

Superintendent John E. Perez is a certified coach, mentor, trainer, and the pastor of Family transformation Church, in Beacon New York, where he has been leading leaders toward their purpose since 2015. He has been a member, of this same church, for over 28 years.

Superintendent Perez currently serves as the Director for the COGIC Hispanic Initiatives appointed by the Presiding Bishop J.Drew Sheard and the Election Commissioner for the General Council of Pastors and Elders.

Superintendent Perez was appointed Administrative Assistant of Technology by Bishop James Pullings, Jr., the  Jurisdictional Prelate of the First Jurisdiction of Eastern NY.  In addition, Supt. Perez is on the executive team of the Puerto Rico Jurisdiction, led by Bishop Elton J. Amos, MD.

Superintendent Perez serves his local community.  He is on the City of Beacon Police advisory committee, Dutchess County Criminal Justice Council, Threat assessment team, Suicide prevention task force, Ducthess County Sherriff Department Chaplain, and is partnering with the County’s law enforcement on a newly formed pastoral care service for First responders. He brings his 36 years of corporate and 27 years of prison ministry experience. He provides different voices and viewpoints at these tables to ensure transparent discussions.

Superintendent Perez is married to Dr. Paula C. Perez.  He is the father of three adult children and has one son-in-law and one granddaughter: Samantha, Kaitlynn, Emilia Anne, (Michael), and Matthew.
