Evangelist Ursula Gordon-Higginbotham
Evangelist Ursula Gordon-Higginbotham, MEd is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is the grand-daughter of the late Bishop Willie K. Gordon and the fourth child of Bishop Charles H. Gordon and Missionary Wardine Mabry Gordon. She was saved at an early age and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost under her father’s leadership and served in various positions. Evangelist Higginbotham is a licensed Evangelist Missionary within the Church of God in Christ and continues to serve the people of God.
She is a member of The Island of Hope Church of God in Christ and serves as Administrative Assistant to the Pastor, Church Administrator, Worship Coordinator, Appropriations Board Chairman and Trustee Board Member. She also serves on a Jurisdictional level as Senior Executive Assistant to Bishop Prince E.W. Bryant, Sr.- General Board Member/Jurisdictional Prelate- Texas South Central Jurisdiction.
In 2014, she was appointed by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. and reappointed in 2021 by Bishop J. Drew Sheard as Director of Church Administrative Staff Development for The Church of God in Christ, Inc. where she is responsible for training church administrative staff for over 12,000 + churches throughout the nations.
Evangelist Higginbotham holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapy, Certification in Special Education and Psychology as well as a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. She has been an educator for over 30 years with 26 years within the Public School System in which she has served as a special education teacher, general education teacher and interventionist. She is currently employed as an Assistant Principal and a Professor of Psychology at Houston Community College.
Evangelist Higginbotham travels extensively, providing professional development trainings, equipping administrative staff that serve within the Kingdom of God. Evangelist Higginbotham loves serving God’s people and seeks to be pleasing in His eyes. She is right now, today at this very minute living on PURPOSE, walking in her God-Given Destiny RAISING up WARRIORS to SUPPORT leaders WORLDWIDE.
Evangelist Higginbotham is the pleased parent of three children, Attorney A’drianna Marche’ Agbaraqwe’, James Pierre’ and Charleston D’wight Higginbotham; four Grand Girls, Adaora Deanie and Zionne’ Grace, Amara Dea and Reign Joy.
