Superintendent J. Kyle Nicholson

Superintendent Jonathan “J. Kyle” Nicholson is a 4th generation preacher and lifelong student of best practices in church health, organization, and leadership. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Augustine’s University. He serves as the Pastor of Gates of Faith Ministries, COGIC in Richmond, VA., the ministry founded by his father, the late Bishop Alfred L. Nicholson. He is the Superintendent of the Richmond South District of the Virginia 4th Jurisdiction, Bishop G. Wesley Hardy, Prelate and Founder. He is married to his college sweetheart, Missionary Kesha Nicholson, and they have 2 sons; Joshua and Jonathan.

Superintendent Nicholson is passionate about helping the Body of Christ establish a culture that promotes spiritual and organizational health. He continues the legacy and work of his Father, emphasizing the concept:  “If a church is healthy, it will GROW!”  Superintendent Nicholson believes that while Christ built the church, it is the responsibility of church leadership to design healthy church culture (in customs, patterns, values, traditions, and behavior) to reflect the Kingdom of GOD. Inasmuch, such church cultures provide maximum impact and effectiveness in Kingdom Advancement.

To that end, Superintendent Nicholson is a “Church Culture●tect ,” that is, “an architect for Church Culture”. He has taught extensively on church cultural design and cohesiveness in workshops and symposiums. For many, he has been referred to as a “Bridgebuilder” and “Connector” for the generations. Superintendent Nicholson’s first book entitled “Church eMERGEncy: Create Intergenerational Synergy NOW!” has had a nationwide impact throughout the body of Christ. In this book, he details proven strategies to connect the various generations that work in ministry. The goal of such strategies is the creation of constructive collaboration produced through cooperation between saints of all ages. In a word, Superintendent Nicholson continues to prove how the Body of Christ is better “Together”!
