Dr. J. Anthony Taylor II

Dr. Taylor is a third (3rd) generation son of the Church Of God In Christ. For the past sixteen (16) years, he has served as pastor and servant- leader of the historic Greater Community Church of Chattanooga C.O.G.I.C. in the city of Chattanooga, TN. Jurisdictionally, Dr. Taylor serves as an Administrative Assistant to General Board Secretary, Bishop Brandon B. Porter and Chief Operating Officer of the Tennessee Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. He also serves as the District Superintendent of the Greater Chattanooga District, Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant and Coordinator of the Eastern Regional Leadership and Laity Summit. Nationally, Dr. Taylor has served as a National Adjutant since 1995 and currently serves as the Apostolic Aide to Bishop Brandon B. Porter. He was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees for the All-Saints Bible College and National Liaison to the Pentecostal Theological Seminary by the Presiding Bishop and General Board.

Dr. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family counseling and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor. Dr. Taylor was also honored to be 1 of 3 students selected to be a part of the inaugural PhD Program offered at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in 2024. Dr. Taylor has conducted many professional development sessions for Fortune 500 companies and school districts focusing on leadership development and implementation.

Since October 28, 2000, Dr. Taylor has been married to the lovely Lady Vernita Taylor. They reside in the city of Chattanooga, TN with their three sons Jeremiah, Jerius and JerRod and their new daughter-in-love, Makenzie.
