Elder William L. Canada, IV

Elder William L. Canada, IV is a native of Des Moines, IA.

William Is 3rd generation member of the church of the Church of God in Christ. By the age of twelve William was an active participant in many church departments, serving as one of the youngest Sunday School Superintendents in the Iowa Jurisdiction.

While attending college, he became a member of the Richardson Chapel COGIC, where the late Bishop Charles H. Gordon was pastor. Under Bishop Gordon’s leadership, he accepted his call to ministry in January 1986.

Minister Canada was ordained Elder under the administration of his pastor, the late Bishop James E. Hicks Sr. He continues to serve in his local church, Unity Church of God in Christ as the President of the Evangelism Department, Sunday School Superintendent, and various other capacities. Since inception of the Washington Northwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, he serves as Chief Operating Officer, currently providing operational oversight of the Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Reginald C. Witherspoon and is a member on the Board of Ordination where he previously taught the ordination class for 8 years.
He is married to the lovely Regina Lloyd Canada, the Jurisdiction Assistant Supervisor.

He is currently employed by T-Mobile Telecommunication as an Engineering Senior Technical Program Manager. William is also a member of T-Mobile’s Employee Resource Group, acting as Co-Lead for the Black Empowerment Network.
William has a been trained in Business Management with a BS from Southern University Baton Rouge and Leadership Certification from the University of Washington.
