Bishop Stenneth E. Powell, Sr.

Bishop Stenneth E. Powell, Sr.  has been proclaiming the gospel with the anointing that transforms lives and empowers the believer to walk in their God given dominion and authority for nearly 50 years. He possesses a keen capability to achieve business and entrepreneurial success.  This drive led him to study business at the University of Hartford and to also receive a Bachelors of Theology from Cloverdale College and a Masters of Theology from Graduate Theological Foundation.  Bishop Powell understands what it means to respond to God’s call and commence with humble beginnings. He later met and married Lady Beverly Ann Powell and from this joyous union he was blessed to be the father to two sons, Stenneth Jr. and Joshua who, along with their families, are both actively involved in supporting their father’s ministry.

Over 30 years ago, Bishop Powell founded the Abundant Life Cathedral in Raleigh, NC where he continues to pastor. He is an ingenious leader with an anointing to develop God’s people. In 1996, he was appointed Superintendent by Bishop Cornelius E. Anderson, Sr. and began to serve the NC 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. In 1997, he birthed the Triangle District Fellowship with the aim of empowering and mentoring Pastors. Bishop Powell was consecrated as Bishop of the North Carolina Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in November 2013 and currently oversees approximately 66 churches across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.  He continues his efforts to lead out and advance God’s kingdom by building brothers, building leaders, building relationships and building communities by remaining committed to being available for the sons in the Gospel as a spiritual father with a servant’s heart.
