Elder Craig McGee, Sr.

Elder Craig McGee, Sr., was born in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to N.C. at the age of 8. He graduated from North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Elder McGee served honorably for eight years in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant and participating in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. His military honors include the Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, and National Defense Service Medal

In 1995, Elder McGee relocated to Iowa City, IA, beginning his ministry at the Word of Faith Pentecostal COGIC under the late Superintendent Wendell Beets. Recognized for his leadership, he was appointed finance chairman, a position he has held for 29 years. He served as a deacon before accepting his call to ministry in 2004. He was ordained as Elder in 2010 under Bishop Hurley Bassett, Sr.

Professionally, Elder McGee is a Director at Procter & Gamble, with over 30 years of experience in management across several divisions, including Manufacturing, IT and Quality Assurance. He is also a certified lead trainer in the Procter & Gamble Leadership Academy, teaching both new and experienced managers.

Elder McGee actively serves in his local church as a Sunday School and Bible Study teacher. He also serves as Treasurer of the Iowa Jurisdiction Pastors & Elders Council, and as a Jurisdictional Adjutant and soon to be certified National Adjutant.

Elder McGee is Chairman of the Board for THRIVE of Iowa, a non-profit established under the leadership of the Iowa Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Leroy F. Johnson, focused on developing life skills within the community.

Elder McGee is married to Missionary Felicia McGee (34 years), with two sons, Craig McGee Jr. (26) and Josiah McGee (23), both graduates of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
