Judge Judy R. Wilber

The Honorable Judge Judy Robinson Wilber, a distinguished jurist with three decades of legal expertise, began her practice as a licensed attorney in Arkansas in 1993 after graduating from the highly ranked University of Texas (Austin) Law School. Her first judicial appointment was to a district court in 2002. It was at that time that loved ones gave her the moniker “Judge Judy” as a term of endearment and respect. Currently, she serves as a judge handling state appeals involving estate recovery, child and nursing neglect/abuse, government programs, and employee grievances. In 2000, she became the first Black female partner in a majority-owned law firm in the state where she practiced for seventeen years in the areas of employment law, constitutional law, church litigation, and insurance litigation. Beyond the courtroom, her commitment to community outreach and legal education reflects her dedication to upholding justice while inspiring future generations of legal minds as an adjunct professor teaching business law, constitutional law, and criminal law.

Judge Judy is the proud mother of two amazing young adults, and she enjoys singing and writing. She serves God whole-heartedly and is a lifelong C.O.G.I.C. member who has served her church under the leadership of giants in the Gospel including Bishop Donne L. Lindsey, and she now, Bishop Frank J. Anderson Jr. who appointed her as Legal Counsel for the Second Jurisdiction of Arkansas.

Since 1993, she has advised and represented pastors, churches, and members, handled trials before state courts and Pastors and Elders Council, conducted legal workshops, drafted/reviewed governance documents, drafted written final orders, heard and decided motions, and performed other necessary duties as a trier-of-fact. Her keen legal acumen, impartiality, and strong work ethic have earned her widespread respect within the legal community and the church.
