SUPERVISOR TRENA HOPKINS
Evangelist Missionary Trena Hopkins, a native of Portland, Oregon, continues to reside in her hometown. She is the youngest child of Bishop and Mrs. A.R. Hopkins Sr. Throughout her life, Msn. Hopkins has held various positions within the church, demonstrating her deep commitment and service. She has served as Administrator to Pastor, Sunday School Teacher, Women’s Department President, Choir Director, Adjutant to Supervisor, Jurisdiction Executive Board Member, and both an International and local Prayer Warrior in the Church of God in Christ.
Mother Hopkins has had the privilege of working within the Church of God in Christ National Women’s Department under the leadership of Mother Barbara McCoo Lewis. She is a member of The Lydia’s Daughters prayer team, “We Twelve/’ the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative, and The Sr. Love Committee. In 2021, she was appointed to the International Advisory Board, the second-highest board in the International Women’s Department. Additionally, she serves as the President of the Millennium Missionaries, an initiative by Mother Barbara McCoo Lewis, supporting missionaries aged 18-42 in the Church of God in Christ.
For 12 years, Msn. Hopkins has been the Supervisor of Women for the Oregon First Jurisdiction. She is actively involved in various initiatives, supporting her father, Bishop A.R. Hopkins Sr. She has implemented Bi-Monthly Prayer, the Missionary Training Institute, the Senior Care Committee, the Communications Team, Community Service Day, the Jurisdiction Women’s Retreat, and the Missionary L.J. Hopkins Scholarship Fund. This fund has awarded over $35,000 to adults and young people to further their education.
At the young age of 12, she was filled with the Holy Ghost at a shut-in at Greater Solid Rock COGIC, recognizing then that God had a special calling on her life.
