BISHOP JOE L. EALY

Bishop Joe L. Ealy is known as a man of humility, character, and integrity. He is an accomplished Pastor and is recognized for his ability to share God’s word with power and clarity. His most notable service began fifty-nine years ago at the Gospel Memorial Church of God in Christ in Long Beach, California, where he is known as a shepherd “with a heart of love for all people.”

He is a positive voice in the Long Beach/Los Angeles communities, whose ministry is transformative, ushering souls into the Kingdom of God, administering ministerial services, spiritual direction and giving hope to fallen humanity. His inspiring messages touch the lives of those seeking God’s restoration and healing.

Bishop Ealy serves as the Prelate of the largest jurisdiction in the brotherhood, the Great Southern California First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. During the 2024 General Assembly session, he was honored to maintain the #1 financial standing once again with the National Church. The First Jurisdiction owns and supports the Bonnie Brae House where the Azusa Revival began. Christians travel from out of state and foreign countries to visit this house where they experience the power of the Holy Spirit.
