BISHOP DAVID T. WHITTLEY

Bishop David Todd Whittley has been married for 26 years to the beautiful, Dr. Chandra Whittley. They are the proud parents of David Jonathan and Sydney Nicole. Bishop Whittley is a product of Roosevelt University, with post studies at C.H. Mason Bible Institute, Trinity Christian College, and Moody Bible Institute.

In August 2004, at the passing of his grandfather – Bishop Bennie Allison, Bishop David Todd Whittley was appointed to serve as Pastor of the historic Corinthian Temple Church of God in Christ. With over 30 active ministries, the Church meets the spiritual needs of hundreds of parishioners.

In the area of community leadership, Bishop Whittley serves as President of United for Better Living, a leading social service agency on Chicago’s westside and Chairman of The C.A.R.E. Project, a campus inclusive of an apartment complex, community resource center, elementary school and $30 million-dollar Affordable Housing Development, already under construction.

Bishop Whittley serves faithfully on the Jurisdiction & National levels of the Church, including newly appointed Episcopal Assignee for the Illinois Midwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, member of the Men Perfecting Men Department Episcopal Advisory Board and member of Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard Faith Based Development Commission.
