EVANGELIST RENEE WINSTON
National Evangelist/Shepherdess Renee Winston was born Renee Miles to the proud parents Bishop Paul and Missionary Audrey Miles. She is a 5 th generation member of the Church of God in Christ. Renee began showing signs of being musically inclined at the tender age of 3 years old. Beginning at the age of 5, she would be lifted up to stand on the offering table during jurisdictional services to sing sermonic solos. Filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 11, you would often find Renee traveling with her parents and grandparents as they ran revivals across the bay area and throughout the state of California. Through the tutelage of her parents and grandparents, Renee now operates heavily in the gift of the laying on of hands and the casting out of devils, a mantle she believes was transferred by her grandfather, Superintendent, Harry Taylor.
At the age of 26 , Renee married and gave birth to 2 children, 1 son Easop Jr. and 1 daughter Essence. Shortly after, she continued to follow in the footsteps of her forefather’s and became a 5th generation pastor’s wife of a thriving ministry, in San Francisco, CA. After the demise of her very public failed marriage, Renee was placed as Missionary in Charge by then General Board Member, the Bishop Wilbur Wyatt Hamilton. After serving faithfully in this capacity for 8 years, Bishop Hamilton gave her the charge as Shepherdess. !7 years later, Renee continues to serve faithfully at the Abundant Remnant Ministries, Church of God in Christ. Renee’s faithfulness to her local, district and jurisdiction in several areas of ministry, from worship leader, to district and jurisdictional evangelism chairlady has opened many doors on a Regional and National level in the church. In 2015, Renee was recognized as one of the Church of God in Christ’s 150 Influential Women. In 2017, Renee released a song, “Only God Can Do It,” that has taken the world by storm. In 2018, Renee released a book titled “Only God Can Do It” the story being the song, that depicts her testimony. Also, in 2017, Renee was appointed as the First female Regional President of Evangelism in the United States of America, by the previous IDOE President, now General Board member, Bishop Elijah Hankerson. She continues to serve under the leadership of current President, Pastor Gary Sprewell. She also serves on the Executive Board of IDOE under the leadership of Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole as the Director of the Female National Evangelist Bridge Training Program. Renee also serves her national church as the Expeditor for the IDOW, under the leadership of General Supervisor, Dr. Mother Barbara McCoo- Lewis. Renee continues to thrive in Corporate America, working as a C-Level Executive for a Fortune 500 company. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Management from Cal State University Hayward, CA. She also holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco. Renee owned and operated the first black owned coffee house in San Francisco CA while serving as Vice President of the Black Chamber of Commerce. Renee has recently enrolled in Grand Canyon Christian University pursuing a degree in Theology. Her greatest joy is in serving others, bringing deliverance to the lost and hurting. Her greatest accomplishment outside of salvation is being a mother to her 2 highly successful children both academically and professionally.
