Paul R. Harmon

Bishop Paul R. Harmon is a native of Salisbury, Maryland and the son of the late Walter Harmon, Sr. and Mary Ophelia Harmon.  He was educated in the Wicomico County Public School System.  Bishop Harmon was gainfully employed with Delmarva Power & Light Utility Company for 37 years and retired in 2011.  Bishop Harmon is married to Lady Karen Harmon and is the proud father of Telesha Harmon-Pretlow and grandfather of London Pretlow.

Bishop Harmon was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age.  He was ordained as an Elder in 1985 under the leadership of the late Bishop James Eure, Sr. while attending Holy Temple Church of God In Christ in Salisbury, Maryland.  He served faithfully in the jurisdiction as the State Choir President and an Evangelistic Team member while under the leadership of the late Bishop Eure, Sr. and the late Bishop George Fletcher.  Bishop Harmon, also served as the Chairman of the Elder’s Council and Chief Adjutant under the leadership of the late Bishop George Fletcher, the late Bishop G. E. Patterson and the late Bishop Levi Willis, Sr.

Bishop Harmon founded Lighthouse Full Gospel Ministries Church of God In Christ in Salisbury Maryland and began pastoring on November 27, 1994. Today, Lighthouse is a thriving and growing ministry which helps youth and adults within the community both spiritually and naturally.

In 2003, Bishop G. E. Patterson appointed Bishop Harmon as the Jurisdictional Prelate of the Maryland Eastern Shore Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.  Bishop Harmon has served faithfully in this capacity nurturing local pastors and auxiliary leaders.  Bishop Harmon currently serves as an Auxiliaries In Ministry (AIM) IP liaison for the Board of Bishops.  Bishop Harmon is a faithful servant whose ministry is founded upon the scriptures recorded in Nehemiah 4:6.
