Missionary Lori Elaine Porter, PHD, is the daughter of Deacon Willie Roy and Mother Helen Harris. A Licensed Evangelist Missionary holding a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Religious Arts in Christian Psychology, Master of Public Administration, Master and Bachelor of Business Administration with a Concentration in General Management, a Licensed Professional Real Estate Agent and Insurance Agent. She\u2019s a Member of the National, Tennessee, and Memphis Area Association of Realtors \u2013 serving on the Budget\/Finance Committee.<\/p>\n

A member of Greater Community Temple COGIC; blessed to have been trained and mentored by some of COGIC\u2019s leading Vessels; serving in Ministry Operations since the age of 15 in a plethora of leadership positions on every level (local, district, jurisdictional, and national level) to include Property Manager; Superintendent of Sunday School; Director of Membership and Counseling; Supervisor of Ministries; Administrator; Business Manager; Director of Operations, Accounting, and Human Resources; Bookkeeper; Assistant Dean; Instructor; and Financial Representative.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. since 2000 (Initiated and Active-Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter). As a Business Strategist, she provides insight and methods to empower individuals, churches, and businesses for growth, sound management and leadership. A leader who assists in developing a framework that is result-oriented in effort to build organizational capacity that delivers measurable cost-effective results.<\/p>\n

Her Community Volunteer Involvement includes Member \u2013 Former National Civil Rights Museum Dr. MLK 25th Year Commemorative Celebration Choir and Music Recording Project; and Community Leader \u2013 (1) The White House Office of Public Engagement and Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships 2012-2016 and (2) Shelby County, TN Mayor Lee Harris\u2019 \u201cOur Next Era\u201d 2023 Planning Committee as a Member chairing the Neighborhood Development Sub-Committee.<\/p>\n

She constantly searches for ways to promote and improve the welfare of the people she serves. This is her my passion and motivation.<\/p>\n
