BISHOP PRINCE E. W. BRYANT

Bishop Prince E. W. Bryant, Sr. has been preaching for over 60 years in the Church of God in Christ. He has held various positions within the church and is known for his dedication to ministry and church building. Nationally, Bishop Bryant has served the Church of God in Christ as a member of the General Assembly Executive Committee, Commissions for Constitutional Convention Committee, and General Council of Pastors and Elders Judiciary Review Committee.

On March 20, 2021, Bishop Bryant was elected to The General Board of The Church of God in Christ. He pastors two churches in Houston, Texas, The Island of Hope Church of God in Christ and Buck Street Memorial Church of God in Christ, and holds the position of Jurisdictional Prelate of The Texas South Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Bishop Bryant is also actively involved in the ecumenical and civic community. His community service has garnered recognition from various authorities.He served as President of the Mayor’s Advisory Board in Houston and was honored by President Joseph R. Biden with The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

He studied at Concord High School in Mt. Enterprise, Texas, LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles, Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, and The Family Bible Institute in Denver where he earned a Doctor of Divinity Degree.

He’s married to Mrs. Yolanda H. Bryant, they have five children: Supt. Prince E. Bryant II, Missionary Dommonique Jeannie Bryant, Phillip Paul Bryant, Elder Desmon Ryan Bryant (Missionary Franchell Bryant), and Tymorra Mishon Bryant. They are also grandparents to thirteen grandchildren.
