PASTOR DAVID HALL, JR.
Pastor David Hall, Jr began his ministry while matriculating through the halls of Tennessee State University, he was ordained an Elder in the Church Of God In Christ by Bishop J. O. Patterson, Jr. in 2001. Since then, it has been his focus to provide God-centered ministry to all who need it. He attended the Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in both Political Science and Philosophy. He then attended the C. H. Mason Seminary, on the campus of the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA, where he received a Master of Divinity with an emphasis on Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care in 2003.
Directly after graduation, he was hired by the then Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ, Bishop G. E. Patterson to serve at the newly formed All Saints Bible College. He served as the Dean of Students, and later an adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies. He was then called into the institutional Chaplaincy Ministry and hired by the U.S. Department of Justice, in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where he has served at FCC Forrest City, in Forrest City, AR and FCI Texarkana, in Texarkana, TX. Where he is still serving at the present.
He was appointed to his first pastorate by the Bishop Roy L. H. Winbush in Louisiana First at the Historic Johnson Holy Temple COGIC, in Shreveport, LA where he had a successful tenure from August 2008-May 2012. He has continued his pastoral career by now serving at the Gospel Center Church Of God In Christ in Moscow, TN where he was appointed by Bishop David Hall, Sr. in April of 2023.
He has served the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. at every level for the majority of his life. He presently serves the Tennessee Headquarters Jurisdiction as the Chairman of AIM. However, the highlight of his service to the worldwide ministry of the Church Of God In Christ, has been his election to the National Board of Trustees, where he has served since 2008. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Property Committee of the Trustee Board.
Pastor Hall comes from a line of preachers that began with his great grandfather the pastor Lewis J. Hall, that was continued through his grandfather Cleophus Hall,Sr, and extended to him through his father, the Bishop David Allen Hall, Sr. He has poured into the lives of several persons who have gone on to do great things in the body of Christ through an inspiring and energetic preaching and teaching ministry. He lives by the words found in Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
