BISHOP PATRICK L. WOODEN, SR.

Bishop Patrick L. Wooden, Sr. is a sancti6ied preacher, singer and visionary leader dedicated to excellence, holiness, and defending God’s truth. He is an accomplished, in6luential Pastor with over 40 years of ecclesiastical and business experience.

Bishop Wooden is Jurisdictional Bishop of North Carolina Third Jurisdiction, overseeing churches across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, where he has focused on building strong local churches, supporting struggling pastors, strengthening families, providing aid in disasters, and missions. Nationally, Bishop Wooden is the co-director of the Men’s Ministry where he is an ardent team player instrumental in increasing revenues and expanding attendance. He also serves on the Board of Bishops Screening Committee.

Bishop Wooden serves as Senior Pastor of Upper Room COGIC where, for 37 years they
have experienced sustainable growth shown by the vigorous increase in membership, which exceeds 3,500 and annual revenues of $5 million. He leads a full-service daily operation with full-time staff, serving the spiritual and temporal needs of the members and community. He led the church in 3 major building projects with a combined total of $10 million, and successfully executed a financial plan that eliminated the ministry of all long-
term debt.

He founded and pastored the Lighthouse COGIC for nine years. He faithfully served in the
Greater North Carolina Jurisdiction for 40 years where, under the leadership of Bishop Leroy Woolard he served as Treasurer, Offering Expeditor, Risk Assessment Facilitator, 1st Administrative Assistant, District Superintendent, Auxiliary Bishop, and on the Executive Board. He was the Founder, Builder and CEO of Upper Room Christian Academy, a 66,000 square foot facility, which provided employment and served hundreds of students and staff for 23 years.

Bishop Wooden has been married to Pamela McNeil Wooden for 43 years with two children and three grandchildren. For them, God First is a reality.
