  • Oversees over 50 ministries 1979 – Present
  • Bishop of the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Eastern Missouri Western Illinois. 2000 – Present
  • Elected to the General Board of the Church of God In Christ  2012 – Present
  • Reelected to the General Board and currently holds the position of Assistant Secretary on the Board 2016 – Present

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • President of Ecumenical Leadership Council of Missouri 2011 – Present
  • Former member of the St. Louis Black Clergy Coalition
  • Former Chaplain of the St. Louis Police Department, 7th District
  •  Board of Directors of the nationally acclaimed, Father’s Support Group 1997 – Present
  • Appointed to the St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners 2014 – December 2019

He remains involved in many community improvement projects within St. Louis; as demonstrated by his successful rehabilitation of the properties surrounding the intersection of Union Blvd. and Dr. M. L. King Dr. Additionally, Bishop Wooten was instrumental in the establishment of two (2) charter schools.

MINISTRY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Under Bishop Wooten the Williams Temple COCIC complex is currently valued at over $13 million dollars.

Williams Temple supports over 50 ministries i.e., Drug Rehabilitation, Health and Nutrition Program, an award-winning GED program, Housing, Financial Management classes, Feed the Hungry program, an Adult Daycare, Family Life Center recreation complex, Family and Marital Counseling and more.

Bishop Wooten has ministered internationally in Uganda East Africa and Trinidad/Tobago. For many years he fully sponsored over 200 orphans in Uganda and yet continues to support 25 orphans there. He and Lady Wooten adopted two of the beautiful orphans as their youngest daughters
