Bishop Jimmie Williams

Bishop Jimmie Williams was born on July 20, 1954 in Miami, Florida.  The sixth child born to Roosevelt Williams, Sr. and Willie Belle Williams, Bishop Williams is a native south Floridian where he received his formative education.  In addition to his formative education, he has also received a Bachelor of Religious Studies from the Maranatha School of Religious Studies and an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from the Saint Thomas University in Jacksonville, Florida.

It was during a revival in 1975 at the Macedonia Church of God in Christ in Miami, Florida conducted by the late Dr. Oliver Crooms that Dr. Williams, in his early 20’s, was saved.  In that same year, he received the baptism of the holy ghost at a revival conducted by Evangelist Roland Neal.  While serving faithfully at the Macedonia Church of God in Christ under the tutelage of Superintendent Paul Golatt, Sr., affectionately called Dad Golatt, Bishop Williams accepted the call of God on his life to preach the gospel.

In 1980, he was ordained elder in the Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Bishop Jacob Cohen.  Because of his faithful service to the Lord, he was appointed pastor of Saint Paul Church of God in Christ in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1989 by Bishop Jacob Cohen. He served at Saint Paul Church of God in Christ for three years until the Lord led him to establish his own ministry and gave him the name Lighthouse Worship Center Church of God In Christ.  During the infancy of this ministry, Bishop Williams and his congregation of 35, were in a shared facility, Calvary Chapel Church of God In Christ in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from 1991 to 1993.

His ministry began to experience growth in membership. Thus in 1993, Bishop Williams secured a storefront facility for his 35 member congregation.  While at the storefront facility, Dr. Williams’ congregation grew to 80.  Because of God’s favor, this spiritual leader moved from a store-front bay to the present location where the weekly attendance is over 500.

Many lives have been touched by this leader’s message of hope, love, and inspiration; thus, Lighthouse Worship Center Church of God in Christ, has become a home and foundation for divine and miraculous displays.

Bishop Williams has earned the reputation of being a gifted, anointed teacher and preacher of the gospel and a great psalmist.  Not only is he a visionary, but he also has a passion for the ministry.  Bishop Williams is dedicated to his church and is also active in service to the community with a deep passion for outreach ministries that extend beyond the boundaries of the church; such as the “Feed the Children” program.

Bishop Williams is the very proud, dedicated and devoted husband to his lovely wife of 39 years, Iris E. Williams, who both share their life’s missions with two beautiful daughters, Jasmine and Jimiris

Bishop Michael Hill

The call of God was evident upon Bishop Michael Eugene Hill, Sr. from early childhood. As a son of the Church of God in Christ, the Lord’s hand rested heavily upon him as he was being prepared for the ministry. Throughout each era in his life, God was priming him for a divine purpose.

Bishop Michael Hill Sr. is a native of Detroit, Michigan. Upon completing high school, he attended Detroit College of Business and Highland Park Junior College majoring in accounting. He also attended Saints Junior College in Lexington, Mississippi.
Bishop Hill’s father, Bishop Robert Hill, was an exceptional man of God, and both his father and his mother, Mrs. Cozette Hill, have played a very influential and nurturing role in his life.

After the demise of his father in 1986, Bishop Michael Eugene Hill Sr. assumed leadership of Kingdom International Church of God in Christ. Bishop Michael Eugene Hill Sr. has moved the church forward introducing innovative and exciting changes into the ministry that have ignited and propelled it to new heights, and inspired countless people of various nationalities. A highlight of his work came in 1997 when he led the church into its new edifice located in Dearborn, MI, this being the first African American church to locate into that city.

Bishop Michael Eugene Hill Sr. presently serves faithfully in the Church of God in Christ at various levels. In November, 2011, he was officially installed as the Jurisdictional Prelate of the Great Lakes First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Michigan following the demise of Bishop Clifford C. Dunlap. Prior to this God ordained elevation, Bishop Hill served as Superintendent of the Deliverance District, Administrative Assistant to the Bishop, and Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Jurisdiction. Internationally, Bishop Michael Eugene Hill, Sr. served as President of the International Youth Department from 2004 – 2008. He also serves the local community as a Chaplin for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Bishop Michael Eugene Hill, Sr. has been the loving husband of Missionary Pearl Hill for over 37 years. This loving union produced two beautiful children and five wonderful grandchildren: a daughter NaKisha Hill and her children, Dwight III, Micah, and Christian; and a son, Michael E. Hill, Jr. (Katrina) and their daughters, Kyla and Keliah. His devotion and love for his family is perpetually evident and divinely reminiscent of the love that Christ shows to the church.

Bishop Michael Eugene Hill, Sr. is a very talented and anointed man of God who harbors the musical ministry gifts of singing and playing the organ; gifts that were imparted to him as a young boy. However, God, in his infinite wisdom, saw fit to elevate him from the soft touch of the ivory to the realm of spiritual warfare. Bishop Michael Eugene Hill, Sr. believes in preaching and teaching the Word of God and empowering the people of God to live according to Kingdom Principles. He has dedicated his ministry to meeting the needs of the total man; studying daily and searching the scriptures for fresh bread to feed God’s people. His unique outlook on life in the Kingdom of God effortlessly attracts people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds affording him the opportunity to plant the seed of the Gospel of Truth across the United States.

Bishop Michael Eugene Hill, Sr. credits the depth of his love for family and people, the foundation laid by his parents, and his strong roots in the church for being the core of the phenomenal success he’s experienced in his ministry.

Evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole

The second from the youngest of The Clark Sisters, Dorinda attributes her fiery, convicting singing style to her mother, Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, who saw the gift of singing and preaching in her at an early age. Back in the 1960’s and 70’s, when other children their age were playing outside, Dorinda and her sisters had to work on their now famous familial harmonies.  She says, “We made a lot of sacrifices.  My mom was a stickler for making sure we rehearsed before we went out to perform.  If we had an engagement on a Saturday or Sunday, during the week she would call us in and say, ‘Hey ya’ll I need you to come in here and rehearse.’ That’s when mom started really putting the discipline in us.  She would say, ‘Karen, I want you to take that microphone and sing this note…and now Dorinda, I want you to talk a little bit.’ When Karen the youngest turned five we started recording. She saw the gifts and talents within us and started shaping and molding us.  She taught us discipline along with how to use our gifts. We still have those gifts today.  It was all in preparation for what we do today as recording artists, writers and producers.” The gift of talking that Dorinda’s mother saw in her as a little girl has evolved into a phenomenal preaching ministry that goes hand in hand with her singing ministry. “I can’t get around the both of them; I can’t leave the stage without saying something…and even when I preach, I can’t leave without singing a line of something,” she laughs.Today this gift has made room for her to serve in ministry to God's glory, while juggling her life as a wife, mother of two; Nikkia and Greg Jr. and grandmother of one DJ.

Career
Dorinda has been evangelizing and juggling hundreds of speaking engagements annually for over twenty years, along with her singing career and being a wife and mother. She ministers nationally as well as internationally in countries such as England, Japan, Germany, France, Korea and South Africa. She made history in South Africa, having been the first woman to minister in the pulpit to over 4,000 people. Dr. Cole has followed in her mother's footstep by having several leadership roles in the International Church of God in Christ. She currently serves as Assistant to the Elect Lady of the Evangelism Department of the Church. She is a also member and administrator at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop J. Drew Sheard.

And to add to that, she is the new host of TCT Network’s Dorinda Show, co-host of TCT’s Celebrate on the Road, former Stellar Awards host, guest judge on Verizon's "How Sweet The Sound" national televised competition, the former spokes model for Donna Vinci Clothing and her “Rose Collection” is now distributed by Terra Mina Fashions. She has since partnered with MR. SONG, an immaculate fashion designer of Detroit, in creating The Bloom Collection, a couture collection of hat adorning accessories. She is also the Founder and CEO of Lifeline Productions Inc., which holds an annual Singers & Musicians Conference. In September 2004 she received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Mt. Carmel Theological Seminary of Fresno, CA.

Music
In June 2002 Dorinda released her self-titled album Dorinda Clark- Cole on Gospo Centric Records/Zomba Label Group. This was followed in August 2005 by her sophomore album The Rose of Gospel on Gospo Centric Records/Zomba Label Group. The album debuted in Billboard’s Top 5 and garnered a Grammy Nomination for the Best Traditional Soul Gospel album & won 2007 and 2009 Stellar Award for the “Best Female Artist of The Year”. Her third project Take It Back was released in April 2008 on Gospo Centric Records/ Zomba Label Group. Her latest release, an EP Album titled In the Face of Change, included BAMM, which was a “Verizon Select”. In early spring of 2009,  Dorinda received the honor of performing Nothing but the Truth for the Sojourner Truth unveiling on Capitol Hill for 1st Lady Michelle Obama and other officials. Dorinda's solo career  continues to progress with a newly established deal with Light Records in 2010.

As a member of the world renowned Clark Sisters, Dr. Cole won three Grammys in 2008. Live – One Last Timewon the Best Traditional Gospel Album. Its album track "Blessed & Highly Favored" won the Best Gospel Performance as well as the individual Best Gospel Song. With the group she appeared nationally on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, ABC's "The View", Bobby Jones Gospel, Lift Every Voice, Gospel Superfest, TBN’s Praise the Lord, The Stellar Award and The Lady of Soul Awards.

Testimony
However, she hasn’t always been at such a joyous place in her life. Dorinda was once a wounded soul who contemplated suicide and now testifies about that very trying time in her life. She recounts, “At that time my mother was not with me to help me get through that rough time. We were always dependent on our mom because she was always there… I didn’t understand why it was happening to me…It was very devastating.  And it caused me to go into a state of depression…I just couldn’t take it anymore and I got into my car and I began to drive to the river.  I was about to drive my car off the bridge. And while I was right there…the enemy was speaking to me, so I had a war going on. I began to drive and accelerate up to 80 miles per hour. God spoke to me just as plain as day and said, ‘Dorinda, are you going to let everything that has been invested in you go down the drain?’ And when I heard God’s voice, I began to take my foot off the accelerator and the car started coasting right to the bridge.  And the Lord whispered to me and said, ‘Peace be unto you.’  And that’s when I grabbed the steering wheel and I said, Lord I thank you. I began to weep and cry.  So if it had not been for God keeping me, right then I would have been doomed and consumed. I want it to reach those who are strung out on drugs.  I want them to be able to hand it over to other drug abusers and say listen to it and have it bless their lives.”

Bishop Carlis L. Moody

Bishop Moody was born December 16, 1934 to Mr. Booker T. and Geneva Moody, in the city of Tifton, Georgia.

He was saved in September, 1944 and accepted the call to preach in July, 1946 in the city of Waukegan, Illinois. In October, 1950, he was ordained by the late Bishop W. M. Roberts. At the age of 16, he established a small church in Waukegan on Market Street with thirty-eight members and some children. At this young age, he also started a church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Later he was impressed of the Lord to submit each group to an older pastor in each of these cities. He took the group that was in Waukegan to St. James Temple Church of God In Christ in North Chicago, Illinois where Elder James W. Markham was the pastor. The group in Milwaukee was advised to go to Elder Dennis Flakes, who is now Bishop Flakes.

Elder Moody served as Youth Pastor at St. James Temple and as District Sunday School Superintendent from 1952 until 1957.

Late in 1956, Mother Sadie Adams and her son Elder Eugene Adams went to Bishop L. H. Ford and asked him to send Elder Moody to Evanston, Illinois to open a church.

Elder Moody came to Evanston on January 7, 1957 and organized the church with a small group of six people. The Lord gave to the group the name "Faith Temple".

Since that time, the Lord has blessed the congregation to grow from six persons to over two hundred families, and over five hundred members. In 1968, the congregation completed the first phase of church construction with a seating capacity of 450, when filled. After attending Moody Bible Institute, in 1970 Elder Moody traveled outside the United States for the first time. Since that time, he has ministered in over thirty-eight countries.

Elder Moody served as Vice-President of the Black Ministers Alliance of Evanston for two years. He also served as a member of the Curriculum Council for the Evanston Township High School for one year.

In 1975, Elder Moody was appointed International President of the Home and Foreign Missions Department of the Church of God in Christ, whichmoodytwo reaches into over forty-nine countries.

In 1976, he was elected to serve as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Pentecostal World Conference. He still serves in this capacity.

As a part of Bishop Moody’s local church Home Ministry, the congregation served as the Home Church for a Drug Rehabilitation Center, (Prevention, Inc.) for eleven years.

The Faith Temple congregation ministered in their community through radio for thirteen years.

In September, 1980, a new dimension was added to the ministry of his church. Bishop Moody was inspired to open a Christian School, "Faith Christian Academy", with grades Kindergarten through Third grade. The second year would cover Kindergarten through the sixth grade. The school is currently Kindergarten through eight grade. The second phase of construction was completed in June, 1986. The congregation of Faith Temple is presently building a completely new religious/educational complex which is scheduled to be dedicated February, 1998.

In 1982, Elder Moody was consecrated as Missionary Bishop in the Church of God in Christ.

Bishop Moody heads all of the mission work of the Church of God in Christ in all foreign countries as well the United States. He is the International President of the Home and Foreign Missions Department. Bishop Moody is also the Jurisdictional Bishop of Germany.

bishopmotherBishop Moody married his wife, Mary Alice in 1955. They have one daughter, Sideary King, three sons, Carlis, Jr., Anthony Sr., and Jeffrey. One son-in-law, three daughters-in-law, and ten grandchildren.

This fortified foundation was the impetus for accepting the Lord at an early age. Her formal Christian education includes Charles Harrison Mason Bible College and First Assembly of God Bible Institute.

Her unfettered dedication to building the kingdom spiritually and naturally has resulted in the addition of numerous souls and an integral role in the construction of three houses of worship, Williams Temple Church of God in Christ, Sparkman, Arkansas; St. Paul Church of God in Christ, Rockford, Illinois; Brown’s Temple Church of God in Christ, Rockford, Illinois.

Her leadership roles include being appointed to serve in Fifth Jurisdiction of Illinois as Jurisdictional Sunday School Representative to Jurisdictional Sunday School Superintendent W. James Campbell under the leadership of founder the late Bishop Freeman Guy Green and the late Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women Addie Austin, tenure continuing under the leadership of the late Bishop Bennie Earl Goodwin, the late Bishop Samuel McCarthy and currently Bishop James E. Washington. Her service is further epitomized with work at her local church, serving as Director of the Department of Women under then Elder James E. Washington for over twenty years. Her leadership training resulted in the promotion of several women to key roles at St. Paul.

Currently, she serves in dual roles as Administrative Assistant and Director of the Department of Women under the leadership of Superintendent Jesse Penix at Brown’s Temple Church of God in Christ, Rockford, Illinois.
