Superintendent Clarence L. Sellers, Jr.
Supt. Clarence L. Sellers, Jr. is the Pastor and Founder of Dominion COGIC. He was born to Apostle Clarence Sr. & Overseer Norvice Sellers, July 11, 1976. Supt. Sellers was reared in a God fearing home. His parents taught him that holiness is not a denomination but a way of life. He embraced their teachings (the holiness lifestyle) and developed a relationship with God for himself.
As a young man he developed a love for reading and studying God’s Word. He became particularly astute in the book of Revelations. By the age of 16 Supt. Sellers preached his initial sermon from the first few chapters of the book of Revelations. The congregation was in awe of his ability to effectively preach from this Book. Because of Supt. Sellers’ love for the word of God he has attended the Billy Graham School of Evangelism and Norfolk Seminary College where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies.
Ministry is his first love and because of that, he has served with his father in ministry from the age of 16. In July 2007 Supt. Sellers founded Dominion COGIC, Chesapeake, VA. In the month of January 2010 he was appointed Superintendent of the New Covenant District. Upon his father's transition to Florida he assumed the office of Pastor of Mt Tabor COGIC, Smithfield, VA.
Other capacities of ministry that he serves are as follows: Vice President of the International Evangelism Department of the COGIC; the Assistant Secretary to Virginia 2nd Jurisdiction; Executive Board Member of the General Council of Pastors and Elders COGIC. He was formerly the Director of Positive Direction for Youth at Evangel Fellowship COGIC, under the tutelage of the late Bishop Otis Lockett Sr.; National Adjutant in the Church of God in Christ; Youth Church President of International COGIC AIM Convention, a member of the Rules Committee General Assembly of the COGIC, and Co-Chairperson of the Assistant Secretary’s Committee of the COGIC. He was a Case Manager for the New Y-Capp Children with Behavioral and Medical Disabilities just to name a few.
July 22, 2000, Supt. Sellers married the love of his life in the person of Shavon Sumler Sellers. They now have three children: Clarence Lee, III, Marlon Davon, Kalyn Olivia. It is the vision of Supt. Sellers to be one of God’s disciples to turn the world upside down as it is recorded in the book of Acts.
