GENERAL COUNCIL OF PASTORS AND ELDERS SHEPHERDS’ CONFERENCE—2017
EVANGELIST WINIFRED W. MORRIS
The visionary leadership of the General Council of Pastors and Elders has always demonstrated an on-going commitment that recognizes and embraces the important role of the family and the very significant role of the Pastor’s Wife in any dynamic, growing and impactful church. This year is no exception. In fact, the political realities of this worldwide season of crisis in governance, has made this years’ Shepherd’s Conference Theme even more critical: “MIGHTILY PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLDS IN CITIES GLOBALLY.” At first consideration, this theme would seem to present an impossibility. How could one local church, one Pastor’s wife expect to have a world-wide impact? But the theme scripture accounts for that by declaring that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, not materiel or ordnance, but are a spiritual arsenal that is backed up by the power of Almighty God.
In our sessions we will collectively determine which strongholds we are really struggling against, and by engaging the expertise, experience and success stories of the women who make up these classes, we can create specific strategies that are practical, do-able, and through the use of technology can have an immediate global impact. In addition, we engage our MILLENNIAL congregants, our own children and grandchildren who are often dis-engaged… and we can bring them back into an active and needful role in our churches. Our tomorrow can happen TODAY!
All of our classes are bible based and this discussion will be no exception. We never want to stray far from the Biblical foundation of all that we endeavor to present.
Case studies will be drawn from the scripture of individuals with global impact and multi-generational cooperation for ministry.
