Dr. Benjamin Stephens, III serves as Senior Pastor to Trinity Temple Church Of God In Christ in Grandview, Missouri (just south of Kansas City). Under his keen leadership, this church has touched the lives of many and continues to be a beacon light in that community. Countless souls have been ministered to during his tenure.
Dr. Stephens has an earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Whittier College; a Master’s Degree in Divinity from C.H. Mason Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia; and a Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. Additionally, Pastor Stephens is the Co-Author of the cutting edge book, From Jay-Z to Jesus. Dr. Ben Stephens was recognized by Charisma Magazine to be one of the nation’s top 21 emerging Christian leaders.
Over the years, Dr. Stephens has become known as a passionate leader with a heart to minister to all ages. As a result, many doors have been opened for him to serve in many capacities. Within each opportunity, he has excelled within God’s favor to serve. He prosperously served as Vice President of the International Youth Department of the Church Of God In Christ and Overseer of the dynamic Young Men of Valor which ministered to young men between the ages of 12-20 within the denomination. Most recently, Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake appointed Dr. Benjamin Stephens, III as the President of the International Youth Department COGIC. Dr. Stephens has pledged that under his leadership, this important and critical department, which helps to strengthen and shape the youth of this great church, will go forward and “Build on a Solid Foundation”.
Dr. Stephens is married to the love of his life, 1st Lady Latonya Stephens. Through the preached Word and his authentic teaching style Dr. Stephens is commissioned to build the Kingdom of God through love. His revolving mantra is found in I Corinthians 16:13-14, Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. Dr. Stephens has a passion to take ministry beyond the four walls of the church into the dying world. He is committed to preaching the good news, yes, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
