 As a member of the National Church of God in Christ Home Buyer's Program, you have a great opportunity to buy a house. In our workshops and counseling session, local credit, mortgage and realtor professionals guide members through each step of the home buying process. When the work of your individual plan is complete, your credit will be on track and you'll have adequate savings for a down payment and a working relationship with a mortgage lender.

Membership Services

Mortgage Counseling

Individual mortgage counseling offers a confidential review of your finances and what type of mortgage would be best for you. If you do not qualify for a home loan now, we can develop an action plan to get you on the road to qualifying in the near future.

Down payment Assistance

This program is designed to help low and moderate income families by lending the family 3% of the price of the home. There is a lending cap of $4,000 that must be repaid at/after 10 years from the date of closing with 0% interest. They must also attend our workshops to qualify.

Educational Workshops

These workshops are offered 4 times per year

1. Are You Ready to Buy Home? - Families address their "readiness: for a home.

2. Budgeting and Credit - Learn about financial planning and money management skills.

3. Understanding Your Credit Report - How to understand and maintain good credit.

4. Shopping for a Home - Tips and techniques on the process of looking for a home.

5. Getting a Mortgage Loan - Learn the nuts and bolts of the mortgage process.

6. Closing On Your Home - Get an inside look at what happens at closing

Additional workshops are offered to homeowners after thy have closed on their home.

• Understanding your property tax bill
• How to use the equity in your home
• Maintenance and upkeep of your home
• Default counseling for families about to lose their homes

Buying a home provides financial security, residential stability and most of all, a place to call your very own.

Our mission is to assist anyone who wants to be a homeowner to buy a house. This brochure contains an overview of our program along with a list of the corporate housing and financial partners with whom we share a common coal: a home for everyone to call their own!
