Elder John B. Smith is a preacher, teacher, and visionary who serve as the Senior Pastor of the Rosemark Church of God in Christ – a purpose driven ministry serving the community through Discipleship, Evangelism, and Personal/Spiritual Development. As a charismatic leader & provocative thinker, Pastor Smith’s abilities beyond the pulpit are resourceful in city/county government, and civic/community leadership. He currently serves as Commissioner, Shelby County & City of Memphis Community Redevelopment Agency; Former Chairman, Shelby County Housing Authority; Board of Directors, Millington Crisis Center; and Executive Board Member, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated (Alpha Delta Lambda Chapter). Elder Smith is also the Founder/CEO-Community Builders, Inc.-a non-profit organization design to bring community awareness, effective resolve, and corporate advocacy in the areas of education, financial stability, and community development.

After 20 years in Servant-Ministry, Pastor Smith continues to be a leading voice in providing resourceful strategies for church organizational skills, ministry liturgical/protocol, and ministry sustainability. Operating as a Debt-Free Ministry, the Rosemark Church has experienced numerical & spiritually growth as well as cultivating civic & social relationships to build the community and its citizens. Pastor John B. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree from LeMoyne Owen College. He is the husband of Carol A. Smith and father of 2 children, Lauren LeeAnn and John Brandon II. Pastor Smith values Lady Carol Smith & their children; he prioritizes the home, constantly teaching and preaching the core values of ministry begins with establishing core values in the home.
